Pump Repair, Rebuild & Replacement Services in Lafayette, LA
Industrial Pump Repair Experts in Lafayette, LA
When a pump goes down, production slows, costs climb, and pressure builds. EV Pump & Equipment provides expert pump repair, in‑shop rebuilds, and component replacement for industrial fluid handling systems. From power end and fluid end repairs to full system refurbishments and hard‑to‑find parts, we restore performance, extend equipment life, and get your operation back online fast.
What pump repair services does EV Pump offer?
We repair and rebuild all pump types: power end, fluid end, and everything in between. Whether it's a crankshaft worn out of tolerance or a fluid end leaking under pressure, our techs diagnose the root cause and fix it right the first time. All brands, all models, in-shop or in the field.
All Brands. All Models.
From piston pumps to centrifugal and everything in between. If it pumps, we service it. Kerr, NOV, Wheatley, Gardner Denver, SPM, Weir, and more.
Component-Level Troubleshooting
From vibration issues to flow irregularities, we identify root causes and perform targeted repairs that last.
Quick Turnaround, Long-Term Performance
We don’t patch symptoms. We rebuild pumps to prevent future failure.
What is Power End Repair?
The power end is the mechanical side of the pump — crankshaft, bearings, connecting rods, and seals. When it starts showing wear through vibration, noise, or loss of performance, we tear it down, inspect every component, replace what's failing, and bring it back to spec. We handle power end repair on all major brands including Kerr, NOV, Wheatley, Gardner Denver, SPM, Weir, and more.
What Is Fluid End Repair?
The fluid end is where the actual pumping happens — valves, seats, pistons, liners, and packing. These components wear faster than the power end, especially in abrasive or high-pressure applications. We replace worn components, reseat valves, and verify performance before the pump goes back into service.
Replace or Rebuild when:
Most of the pumps that come through our shop can be rebuilt. If the casing and core structure are sound and the parts can be sourced or machined, a rebuild gets you back online faster and cheaper than a new unit. Replacement makes sense when the damage runs through the structure itself, when new parts and labor cost more than a new pump, or when the application has changed and you need different specs. Not sure which side your pump falls on? Send us the make, model, and what it's doing, and we'll tell you straight.
Common Replacement Parts We Source:
- Valves & seals
- Wear plates & liners
- Rotors, stators, and bearings

CASE STUDY HIGHLIGHT
Full Driveline Rebuild
A hydroblast trailer came in disassembled - engine, transmission, and pump coupling in pieces - with a failed custom flywheel and no second unit to use as a pattern. We tracked down the original equipment packager, sourced the obsolete flywheel from their shelf in Michigan, and completed a full driveline rebuild, returning a unit that was headed for scrap back to full revenue service.

What's included in EV Pump's in-shop rebuild service?
In-shop rebuilds offer a cost-effective way to extend the lifespan of your pump without a full replacement.
Disassembly, Cleaning & Inspection
Each pump is fully torn down and assessed for wear and tear, corrosion, and damage.
Machining, Part Replacement, and Assembly
We resurface components, replace parts, and rebuild to factory specs or better.
Performance Testing & Final QC
Pumps are tested before returning to the field to ensure reliable operation.
Can EV Pump handle an emergency pump repair?
Yes, and it’s most of what we do. When a pump goes down call 337-252-6487. We’ll ask what the pump is, what it’s doing, and what it was feeding, then tell you straight whether it’s a field fix, a swap, or a trip to the shop. Our heavy focus is a three-hour radius around Lafayette, but with a little notice we haven’t found a place we won’t go.
A seal caught when it starts to weep is about a $1,200 fix. The same seal run to failure takes the bearings and shaft with it and becomes a $2,500+ rebuild. The call is cheaper than the wait.
